This past weekend I flew out to Iowa for one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve ever shot. Annie and Corey are two of the most down to earth, fun and lovable people you could ever meet. Needless to say, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to shoot their engagement and wedding.

We started off hitting the road to go explore Cedar Rapids to find locations and ended up finding TONS of places to shoot. There were so many great spots, I couldn’t believe it. Bridges/Train tracks, leaf covered hillsides, rivers, criks (thats “midwest” for creeks) and gorgeous woodland. But, enough talking about it… check out the photos!!

Annie and Corey… I can’t thank you enough for showing Heather and I around Iowa and making the trip SO much fun. I cannot WAIT to come back out to shoot your wedding next year on the farm!

A few weeks ago I shot some engagement photos for an awesome couple, who’s wedding I’m shooting on New Year’s Eve this year. We met up in Glendora before sunset and shot along the foothills of the mountains. Winston and Forrest (the dogs) also came along for the shoot. =)

Check out this gorgeous couple!…

Thanks Jen & Bobby! It was a lot of fun hanging out with the two of you. I hope you love your photos and I’m looking forward to capturing more while we ring in the new year!

OSP Laguna Meetup…

April 14, 2008

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting quite a few local photographers from the OSP (Open Source Photo) Forum. We met downtown and headed to the beach to shoot variations of a model portrait session as well as an engagement session. Things like this really remind me that I am VERY lucky to have found my true passion in life. It will never feel like “work” when you do what you love every day. I had SO much fun meeting everyone and I can’t wait for the next get-together.

Below are some of the shots that I took while bouncing back an forth between couple and model. I had fun jumping in the water and climbing up the hills for some of these… Hope ya like ‘em!!

I had a great time on Sunday hanging out with John and Tanya at the Fullerton Arboretum. We went down there to shoot their engagement photos and ended up goofing off and having a great time. …Once we found the place, that is.

I will have the honor of shooting their wedding in May and I can not wait to see what’s in store for us then!
Below you will find the fruit of John & Tanya’s labor out in the heat… ENJOY and thanks again John & Tanya!!

Congrats to the future Mr. & Mrs. John Duck! =)
