Archive for February, 2008

Well… I went to the “Master Your Craft” seminar with Mike Colon and Bob Davis yesterday. I had a TON of fun hearing what Mike & Bob had to say as well as networking with all the other photographers there. It was a VERY productive day and I was inspired by everyone an everything there.

If you get the chance, go see Mike Colon and/or Bob Davis speak. There is a reason they are at the top of their game… and the greatest thing of all is… they WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU! I know I sound like an infomercial, but seriously… it was a great learning experience.

The following link will take you to some photos from the seminar. Sorry there aren’t more… I was busy LEARNING! =)

New look…

February 21, 2008

What’s up everyone? Just wanted to post here and mention that my blog has obviously gone through some changes in appearance. I’m very happy with how simple and effective this new layout is and hopefully you are as well.

Be sure to keep an eye out for changes to my main website as well. I’ll be adding wedding/event content to the portfolio as well as completely overhauling the look and operation of the site. A little animation here, some music there… it’s gonna be nice.

And one last thing… I’m shooting a couple for their engagement photos on Sunday at the Fullerton Arboretum. Watch for a new post with pictures and commentary on how it turned out!

I hope everyone’s week is ending well… the weekend awaits!

Ruby’s Bat Mitzvah…

February 20, 2008

On Saturday, the 16th of February, I got the chance to shoot a Bat Mitzvah for Ruby Frankel and her family. It was such a pleasure hanging out with them all night and taking part in such a wonderful celebration. Ruby has an amazing family and very wonderfnul and supportive friends. I also had the pleasure of working with videographer, Matt Poletto of NOMAD Editing Company. Take a look at some of the action…

I recently had the opportunity to shoot some editorial type stuff for “Little Miss Jewels” in Brea, CA a few weeks ago. We shot inside Le Diplomate Cafe with a full team from the model to the stylist, makeup artist and yes… me. The shoot was for some print ads and web displays to introduce their new line for 2008. Check out the shots below for a glimpse of how it all went.
