Hello all our faithful blog readers. Why yes, I just said “our”, because this isn’t your regular blogger tonight folks…oh no, no, no…you’ve got me!!! (Dun-dun-dun-DUN!!) HEATHER!!! Also known as Shawn’s tiny wife, his nimble second shooter, the fun-loving and much louder other half, etc., etc. Yes, I know this is Shawn’s space to talk, however with all the recent shooting, editing and good times in general, well quite frankly, we’re SWAMPED and I thought I would give it a shot and do my best with this blog-y thingamajig. PLUS, I simply couldn’t deny any of you a taste of our STUNNING New Year’s Eve wedding. So get in, hang on and enjoy the ride (:

First of all, for those who don’t know me…yet ;), I’m a sucker for details and shoes. I mean, like in a very serious way. I simply couldn’t resist these gorgeous shoes (look at the sparkle) on this beautiful platter. It’s like they’re begging to be danced in, served on only the finest china. Oh how I love thee…

The dress, these rings, OMG Child…I’m in LOVE…I wanna get married AGAIN!!!

Jen and Bobby opted to do a “first look” before their ceremony. It was so emotional. My silly little words can’t do this picture any justice…can’t you just feel the love?

Doesn’t this picture just scream ‘MAKE ME CANVAS GALLERY WRAP AND HANG ME ON A WALL…AND HURRY! PRETTY PLEASE!!!”

By the way, did I forget to mention how unbelievably hot these two are? Seriously, it’s not even fair. I call this picture “Smolder” because, come on.

So what do you think Shawn’s trusty 2nd shooter is doing while he’s knee deep in smolder and love? Having fun with the coolest bridesmaids ever, that’s what. All you had to do was leave us alone for two seconds, and this is what you get…I mean, seriously, what did you expect???

Ummm, can you say CUTE? HANDSOME? DAPER!!!! This, my friends is the epitome of a ring bearer. He took his responsibilities very seriously and did the best job!

How ‘bout some more of my favorite things, CUPCAKES!!! We had the distinct pleasure of working with the absolutely delightful Mindy of Auntie M’s Cup n’ Cake Bakery. This chick is a bonafide baker babe – just check out her “cuppies” below. And I can tell you from my very own baker’s dozen taste test, these babies are GO-OOO-OOD!!

The speeches were terrific! So funny and heartfelt, with an extra serving of LOVE on top.

Jen & Bobby had an awesome slide show/video during the reception with the perfect combo of music, pictures and interview. They took a seat, front and center, and watched as if there were the only two on earth. So very sweet and tender.

Can I just ask you, who doesn’t love a good ol’ fashioned photo booth? Talk about a box of fun to go! I gotta give it up to the sweet darlings of PIX BOX Photo Booth Rentals. They had a never ending line the entire night, a huge basket of props and the prints were quick and FABULOUS!

Have you ever heard the phrase “Love is in the details”? Let me tell you, love was everywhere you looked and in everything you tasted the entire night. Don’t you love the candy bar? How about some M&M’s with Jen & Bobby’s picture on it? No??? Well then, try the Hershey bars. Or better yet, CHOCOLATE DIPPED FORTUNE COOKIES (White AND Milk Chocolate, no less). The fortune cookies had a variety of personalized messages tucked inside…SO MUCH LOVE!!! (p.s. FUN FACT: The fortune cookies are a favorite of Jen’s and Bobby proposed with a hidden message in a fortune cookie. All together now, AWWWEEEEEE)

Let me tell you, these people knew how to PAR-TAY!!!

WOW! What a way to ring in the New Year. Jen & Bobby (and family & friends), thank YOU from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be a part of your special day. We wish you all the love and happiness in the world, and then some. Now everybody altogether - 3, 2, 1…HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

And they lived happily ever after. The End.

Hey everybody! I have been hard at work editing two weddings and a rehearsal dinner but I wanted to give you all a quick peek at a few images from my New Year’s Eve wedding with Jennifer and Bobby. Full post with more images to come in a few days…

As promised, here I am with another set of amazing wedding photos. I was so stoked to shoot, again, alongside Michael Norwood on this one. Especially since this wedding had so many awesome details. Florals (and they were gorgeous, might I add) were done by Square Root and the whole day was coordinated by the amazing Kerrie Underhill.

Check out this bouquet!

I followed the bride to the Nixon Library, stole some shots of her arrival and then ran up to where Kyle and his groomsmen were hanging out to capture him reading Lauren’s note… NINJA!  =)

I love this shot of the reflecting pool. The ceremony was held on the grass at the other end of this… such an awesome venue!

I really like this personal moment captured during the ceremony…

Some of the most stellar details I’ve seen at any wedding I’ve been to…

My absolute favorite thing, though, is to catch those REAL moments…

*Knock Knock* … is this thing still on? I know, I know. It’s been forever since I’ve blogged. I promise to make a better effort at updating this site… hold me to it!

Well, to kick off the new steady flow of blog posts, I wanted to share 1 of 2 weddings I recently shot with Michael Norwood. Michael is a very talented photographer based out of Mission Viejo, CA. Many of you fellow photographers have heard his name in one way or another. It was a pleasure shooting alongside him… he is very laid back, has a lot of fun doing what he does and really connects with those that he shoots. Good times and I hope to work with him again.

Anyway… let’s get on to the photos. This first wedding I’m sharing with you was shot in Oceanside on the rooftop of a 4-unit condo. The location was incredibly nice, modern and not to mention… right on the beach! This couple had some very talented people put this together for them, including Bethany at Splendid Sentiments handling some pretty amazing florals.

I’ll be back tomorrow (YES, tomorrow) with another wedding that I shot with Mr. Norwood at The Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA… Talk at ya then!
